Hepatitis and Homeopathy

Lycopodium, herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the Licopodiaceae family that, in homeopathy, has a strong influence on the digestive tract and liver, has shown strong hepatoprotective action in a study published in Homeopathy by the Gustavo Henrique da Silva group.
The study evaluated the curative effect of Lycopodium clavatum 30C in Wistar rats which had been induced by hepatisis paracetamol. Divided in homogeneous groups, some of the animals received in their food 0.25 ml / day of a solution consisting of 30% ethanol and Lycopodium 30C, other animals only the same amount of a solution with only 30% ethanol. The therapy lasted eight days and then the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were evaluated, an enzyme that increases in drug hepatisis documenting the severity: there was a statistically significant reduction (p <0.05 ) in the group treated with Lycopodium. Additionally, following the death of the animals, the condition of the liver were evaluated during the histology examination: the autopsy and microscopic findings showed a significantly lower number of areas of necrosis and parenchymal and interstitial inflammation. http://www.siomi.it/apps/pubblicazioni.php?id=1415
