The aggression of the heat!

In these days of extreme summer heat, the human body has to adapt to drastic changes in a short time: from temperate days it switch to day more and more tropical. This sets in motion the raising of neurotransmitters that activate the metabolism, such as serotonin and dopamine, the decrease of melatonin and operation of its secreting gland, the pineal and the increased activity of the thyroid and surrenal glands that secrete more cortisol .
The increased metabolism speeds up the work of the liver that “melting” more fat leads to a greater spread circulation of toxins, such as to engage the kidneys and skin.
Serotonin and melatonin affect more sleep and mood, and that’s why we see very easily in this period with an increase of insomnia and irritability, with the emergence, in some cases, of a genuine “depression”.
Tension, fatigue and especially apathy are the main effects of hyper-cortisolemie, sometimes accompanied by difficulty concentrating and loss of appetite.
The answer to this adaptogenic body “stress” involves a complex answer that if not properly corrected with a good lifestyle and natural remedies, may worsen the situation with a cellular inflammatory cascade that become chronic resulting in damage to the cardiovascular, immunological and metabolic system.
Our whole body goes to a situation of “expansion and hyper-metabolism”.
Surely all are affected, but the most sensitive are the people who suffer of metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance or with pathological implications controlled by drug therapy, especially cardiac or diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, gout …
They are affected especially the extreme bands of age as children or the elderly.
The high-protein and hyperlipidemic foods are felt in this period. It then determines a state of systemic acidosis, which must be controlled by an alkalizing diet.
The most adequate and suited to these conditions is primarily a sport light, like an hour’s walk on foot a day, and eating healthy and low-calorie: prefer more meals split up over the day, consisting of fresh vegetables and fruit, both in season; pasta with vegetables or light sauces, always with raw oil; decrease mainly foods with sauces or heavy sauces, red meat, dairy products, sugary drinks, salty foods.
Prefer centrifuged at alcoholic beverages, but particularly insisting with water, the only “weapon” drainage more effective and safer!
The intake of foods rich in tryptophan, such as radicchio, carbohydrates grains and supplements of magnesium and taurine and potassium, help to better tackle the dangers of dehydration, the nervous tension and the related insomnia.
The therapeutic action may be implemented through various lines: with medicinal plants like burdock, the viola and the chimney that have specific and direct action on the skin tissues; artichoke, dandelion and milk thistle, elected on the different constituents of the liver parenchyma; hawkweed, the solidago, horsetail, birch and berberis, which determine through their action to support and drainage, a contribution to balance the renal; shamrock and turmeric to the bile ducts.
Although homeopathic remedies are to be indicated with the support of the similitude of the patient, we can recommend to combat digestive discomfort due to hectic life and power of the hit and run, the Nux vomica 6CH or disturbances from malfunctioning biliary Chelidonium 6CH .
Even Ayurvedic medicine can be of support: the best advice comes from the ancient Indian medicine is the intake of Triphala, which taken by force and power.
