Cellulite correctly call Cellulitis (Dermopanniculosis Deformans) is a metabolic hormonal imbalance characteristic of Occidental women; in fact, it is almost unknown in the East. Cellulite can go through various stages as the scientific name implies: edematous, fibrotic, and lastly sclerotic that is partially irreversible.

Very often cellulite is associated with polycystic ovary syndrome. In homeopathy we use different remedies according to the constitution of the person and the stage of the cellulite which is determined by ultrasound, among these the most important are Thuja, Natrum Sulphuricum, Berberis, Apis, Silicea, Pulsatilla, Graphites, etc..

However the physician must always make the choice based on the constitution of the subject and on the study of his/her endocrine balance. In fact, hormones are used even in homeopathic doses, but one cannot rely on do-it-yourself medication because improper use can make the situation worse. Let us not forget that homeopathy acts on subjective symptoms and that, if these are not present and the remedy is taken just the same for a long time, one is likely to produce imbalances in a more harmful way than by chemical drugs.

Proper dosage as applicable is 30 CH daily or 200 and 1000 in single doses 15-20 days apart.

Optimum use is obtained by injecting homeopathic medicines or organotherapies into the subcutaneous cellulitis. Thus a local homeopathic remedy is associated with a general treatment including the improvement of circulation and counteract water retention such as Centella Asiatica, Lymdiaral, Lymphomiosot etc..

Another useful therapy is the administration of homotoxicological medicines for phleboclysis once a month.

Carboxy is useful to associate with the internal oral treatment and homeopathic mesotherapy, a technique that uses a subcutaneous injection of 800-900 cc of CO2. CO2 is normally in tissues, but if we over dose them by forcing red blood cells to go and draw it thus releasing oxygen this mechanism reactivates the local circulation and metabolism with beneficial effects on both cellulite nodules and fat.

All diuretic infusions or those that have a positive effect on microcirculation have cellulite:

  • Dawn birch leaves
  • Aerial parts of equisetum arvense
  • Calluna vulgaris leaves
  • Urtica dioica leaves
  • Fucus vesiculosus L. thallus

Herbal medicine uses:

Fucus vesiculosus TM 50 drops once a day combined with Pilosella TM 50 drops a day.

Gemmotherapy uses birch sap 1DH 20 drops 3 times a day and/or Fraxinus 1DH 30 drops 3 times a day.

It is also useful to combine with acupuncture for the drainage of fluids, improving local and general circulation and hormonal balance.
