Supplementation with the patented extract of Klamath algae has been demonstrated effective both in normalizing mood swings, anxiety and self-esteem of menopausal women, and in reducing oxidative stress, with significant reduction of malondialdehyde (MDA) and  analogous increase of retinol, carotenoids and tocopherol’s levels.

The synergy of phenylethylamine (PEA) contained in Klamath and concentrated in the extract, and molecules such as AFA-phycocyanins and mycosporin with an elevated action of selective and physiological inhibition of the Mao-b enzymes that destroy both PEA and dopamine,  makes that PEA can act all its general neuromodulator functions, while the same AFA-phycocyanins, thanks to their important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, carry out an adequate neuroprotective and anti-lipoperoxidative action.

Their action of reduction of MDAalso plays an important cardioprotective role, because of the participation of MDA in the processes of atherogenesis and in the hardening of the cardiac wovenand the vessel walls. Thanks to these general neuromodulatory, cardioprotective, anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory actions, the extract of Klamath constitutes a full factor of general  well-being and anti-aging protection.
