Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a poor: it is an old saying that is the truth?
It seems so judging from a study just published in Circulation, the men who jump at risk of more heart disease or even a fatal coronary heart disease .

The 18% of American adults skip breakfast“.

Many studies show that skipping meals is associated with cardiometabolic risk factors such as hypercholesterolemia, obesity, hypertension or diabetes, which in turn can lead to a heart attack in the course of time. But stressed that there were no studies in the literature on the possible relationships between eating habits of adults, defined as the frequency and timing of meals and snacks, and frequency of coronary heart disease (CHD).

Hence the objective of the study: to determine prospectively whether dietary habits, including skipping breakfast, increase the risk of Chd. To clarify the argument Cahill and his colleagues analyzed the diet, breakfast included , of 26.902 American men between 45 and 82 years free of cardiovascular disease and cancer. At the end of 16 years of follow-up revealed that men who skip breakfast have a risk of Chd 27% higher than those who tastes it if the breakfast every day.

Making a breakfast with healthy food not only reduces the risk of heart attacks, but it is also an easy and healthy body to ensure sufficient energy with a healthy balance of nutrients, such as protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. For example, the addition of nuts and pieces of fruit in a bowl of whole grains in the morning is a great way to start the day” Cahill concludes .
